#ShoeBoxLove for Yolanda Victims this Christmas

Here's another way of sending some love to the people of Visayas who've been affected by the merciless typhoon, Yolanda/Haiyan.

We initially saw the post at Anne Curtis Smith's IG account

We dropped off ours yesterday at Globe Tower 1 in Mandaluyong. Feel free to contact the numbers stated at the image above if you have questions.

Now if you plan to send some christmas love to the people of Visayas, go grab one from your stack of shoe boxes and fill them with goodies. You can be as creative as you ought to be! If you feel the need to add a special item, go ahead. It could lift (even more) someone's spirit. :)

Also, if you are interested in packing reliefs for the typhoon victims, Air21 Cargo House in Brgy. Vitales in NAIA is in need of volunteers. They operate 24/7 and would probably need assistance at night. We got this information from Maktub.

Let's spread some ♥.

Love Always,

STARBUCKS' variant of Harry Potter's Butterbeer!

I was never a die hard of Harry Potter. I only had crush on Daniel Radcliffe during my 1st year in high school because he was so cute as a child and I felt like all the girls in our room are gonna kill me for not feeling the same obsession. Okay, you can call me loser now or tell me how you pity me for missing so much in life because I didn't include HP in my teenage years. Though I am not as obsessed as you with it, Maycon is so when I asked her if she wants to try this HP inspired Butterbeer made available by Starbucks, I never had to repeat myself to her.

Then we went to Starbucks, Greenfield District Branch - the nearest we can go to since our office is within the area.

This!

This is not offered in their menu yet, but you get to take advantage of the beverage if and only you can provide them the potion (CHAROT!) haha. You need to provide the barista its recipe.

  • Creme Frappuccino base with whole milk
  • 3 pumps of Caramel syrup
  • 3 pumps of Toffee Nut syrup
  • Top with Caramel Drizzle
  • Recipe is available for Grande size at 170php

Butterbeer

We were actually hesitant to order it at first for fear that only a few SB branches honor this request (though as I said earlier, all you need to do is provide the barista of any SB branch the recipe and they'll fulfill the order for you).

It tasted like their Caramel Frapuccino only that it's cream based. Though right after Maycon told me that it was like ice cream, Hermione probably moved her wand towards me and made me taste it like it's ice cream. HAHA. But yes, the after taste is ice cream-ish plus its caramel flavor is heaven!!!! (If I can just go endless with those explanation points).

Melody right there ordered Java Chip Blended Bev bec
she isn't a fan of creme based fraps. :)

So for fans out there who wants the feel of the then much awaited movie franchise, Harry Potter or if you're an SB addict drinker, you can now go to any of your favorite Starbucks branch, order this butterbeer and lunge at the beverage like it's magic for the 1st time! :)

BTW, we initially read an article about this through Gretta's Junkyard, thanked her too for the information!

The happy girls (L-R Mie, Melody, Maycon)

Excited about what you think about this too. :)

A quick Muscle Shirt DIY

And then again I found myself with nothing a bit more decent to wear. Okay, scratch that! I still have a few fresh-from-laundry-shirts but I don't want to use them because I've worn them the past week. They might get too old too soon. (ohhwwww?! haha).

The afternoon grew monotonous so I went on to the pile of old clothes my brother bore in their cabinet for centuries and decided to make a muscle shirt for myself. This is not something you'll get fancy about. It's just when the afternoon thoughts are creeping in and you had to get yourself moving to eliminate it.

Here I go!

What you need:
  • A shirt that's slightly big for you. I suggest you try to find your boyfriend/brother/guy friend/Pop's old shirts. Those are usually way bigger than your size and perfect for muscle shirt making (I think so haha). If you like it vintage-y, this is one good choice too. Also I'm being economical here. LOL
  • A pair of sharp scissors.

Here's how to:

1. Lay the shirt on a flat surface and start cutting off the first sleeve.

2. Fold the shirt lengthwise - make certain that you fold it in 2 equal parts. This is to ensure you're cutting off the right amount of sleeve on the other arm.

here's what you get after

3. To match the sleeves, let's try to cut the hem at the bottom of the shirt and its neckline.

Bottom of the shirt
Neckline

4. Try it on. If you think it already looks good on you, I mean the length of the shirt, if the sleeves are by then according to your liking, then you're good to go. But if you're not satisfied yet, you can still make a few more changes here and there.

5. I want the sleeves to reveal more of my arms so I cut a few more inches out of the sleeves. Just note that the further you cut the sleeves, the wider the arm whole gets.

Viola! A DIY Muscle Shirt folks! HAHAHAHA
"I MAKE STUFF UP!"

I guess you can add a belt or a necklace or match it with a nice flats if your routing for a
more chic look.
